1.) What is your business purpose of building a community? (retain staff, attract clients, etc)
Beonit wants to build up several connected communities with precise themes of interest. We want to raise discussion groups, where people join to talk and to connect to people within the same Topic. F.e. do doctors talk about business or health – do Golfers just do sports? Or an after work ease?
2.) What will be the purpose of the community? (share best practice, mentorship, inspire meaningful dialogue, etc)
In fact, that’s it! These Communites will share best practice, inspire meaningful dialogues and concern about everything within the communities focus. Let’s take a family community (wedding, birth, Babies, Partnership, Grandmas, Au-Pair). Will they fit into a friends, business or students portal community?
It’s bringing people together! Beonit combines a typical social network with themes, Locations (Google Mashups) and others communication technologies (Chat, Messenger, etc).
3.) What defines success within the community? (what does it look like? What needs to happen?
Success for beonit is to attract people who want to pay for PREMIUM Features and to take part actively.
Success for our members could be to find really interested people with a passion to this theme and not just a major interest in dating, networking ore collecting addresses.
4.) Will you build your own community or use an existing platform?
Beonit did both. But we’ve dumped the CMS based version and are now doing everything on our own in C#/.Net Framework 3.
5.) Who will be members of your community and how are they segmented?
The members are from all ages, just separating through their interests.
Each other theme community is just a mouseclick away.
6.) How can you leverage your existing relationships with affiliates and partners?
Beonit provides different partnerships like a franchise company does it and more.
Partners can be described as editors. They could own a community, Portal within a community or just a forum group.
7.) Who will provide content for your community? (events, articles, experts, etc)
All our member, the moderators, Portal Managers and Community Managers will post events, articles, Forumposts etc.
8.) What are the benefits to your member for participating and belonging to your community?
Due to our theme strategy our members will easily find a community area, where they feel comfortable and enjoy the information. In beonit everybody can grow a Portal or even Community with his personal aspect of view. He can become a beonit partner and can even earn money together with us.
9.) What are the metrics of success and how will you monitor this?
Success factors are the no. of members (PREMIUM and Basic) and the quality of our content, which will be rated and paid by Google (Adsense). Our Portal Statistics can monitor members moves within the portal in order to grant provision and can monitor views within the forum groups in order to spread out the partner earnings-share.
10.) What will happen when your community grows? How will the dynamic change? (from 100 members to 10,000 members)
The percentage of PREMIUM memberships will increase and the no. of quality output within articles and forums. The beonit technology should be capable to handle steadily increasing user counts through our provider driven architecture. Through additional simple servers we can easily scale our network.
